First week, almost finished!
Most teachers l*o*v*e the first week of school.
Not this teacher!
I’m a little too fast paced for the slowness of the first week.
I am breaking in my new second graders quickly.
A few have learned the semi-hard way that if half the class is finished,
we will be moving on shortly.
I am loving my new kiddos!
But I have to say, I’m missing last years kiddos big time!
I am swamped with hugs from them in the morning and afternoon.
I am swamped with hugs from them in the morning and afternoon.
I have to semi-hide in the hallway when they see me.
Other teachers semi-frown on kiddos getting out to hug past teachers.
I’m okay with it, but I don’t want their “new” teachers to be upset.
A few are in the room right next to mine and as I was hanging up papers the other day,
Victor constantly kept waving at me every time
I turned in his semi-direction.
We’ve been doing a lot of brain breaks/energizers.
My new P is BIG on them and I love it!
This is a new favorite of my kiddos.
Make sure you head on over to my friend Teri’s blog to enter
a giveaway I am taking apart in!
I miss my old kids too and wanna give me them hugs all the time!
It always feels strange to me when I see my former students in other classes (especially when I taught them in kdg…….I think they were mine first!)
Have a great weekend Alisha!

Tales From a Traveling Teacher
I could stop giggling when I read this! My kids hug me, wave non-stop, and say my name constantly- and I've gotten stares from their current teachers'….yikes!
I desperately miss my old kids. They were such a good group. The best I had in a long time. LOL! 🙂
