The Very Hungry Caterpillar Math Unit + Craftivity
Do you love the lovely book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar?”
It is one my favorite books to use in my classroom.
I use to it at the beginning of the year, in the spring, and occasionally at the end of the year.
I’ve learned through many professional developmental books
about the benefits of using a text more than once.
That being said, I have been working hard on units for “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.”
The literacy unit is almost finished, but sadly is not ready to be posted, yet.
Hopefully by tomorrow evening!
Summer life…I.am.loving.you!
But…I have worked most the day on the math unit!
In my sisters words, “Are you seriously still working on the same unit?”
Separate units?
Yes! There will be a science, math and literacy when I am finished!
I want these units to fit into your classroom whenever you chose to use them!
The math unit alone is 96 pages!
The literacy unit will include ideas for the beginning of the year, spring, and the end of the year!
I also use it during independent work time in Daily 5 during the first week,
which I will explain in later detail once it is completed.
So be on the look out!
Back to math. I am very side tracked today.
It is ready to go!
TPT fought me on uploading it, but I wasn’t giving up.
Even though it also logged me out of the site after I had just wrote the whole description.
I kept fighting:).

Learning Is Something to Treasure
This is one of my all time favorite picture books! It is great products like this that make me wish I was teaching the little ones instead of my 6th graders!
