Helpful Hints…..

Today is Day 2 of Blog Hoppin’s ‘We are Thankful’
 Linky Party and Giveaway!
Here are a few helpful hints or mottos
I have had to learn over my 6 years of teaching!
I have a lot of “need finished” piles hidden in my classroom.
Sometimes I get ahead of myself and get carried away prepping
something that I run out of time to get finished.
No one will know.  I promise.  Not even your students!
If it isn’t something that HAS to be done,
let it sit until more time is available.
This does mean we may miss out on a craftivity
or activity that I am dying to do.
Everything will get done.
And if it doesn’t, then it probably wasn’t on the “most important” list.
This is something I still struggle with on a weekly basis.
My first year of teaching I was so absorbed with teaching that I rarely did anything besides work on school items.
This was before I even blogged or created units.
I was a lost soul trying to figure out how to teach
in an inner city school and stay happy.
Don’t skip a family event or friends outing to finish school work!
Balance is the key.
Get them on your side & keep them there!
I love to give my handful of “must keep happy”
 co-workers little holiday treats:)
They deserve to be appreciated with treats and kindness, also!
Don’t forget to have your students participate
with writing thank you cards and letters!
Now, it is your turn!
Head on over to Blog Hoppin’ to link up with your helpful hints!
