It’s time to start linkin’ up again with the sweet Kacey at @Doodle Bugs Teaching!

It takes me about 3 weeks every summer to get into “summer life.”  Seriously.  The first two weeks of break are always so hard on me.  I’m bored out of my mind and can’t get use to not having a nonstop schedule.  Anyone else feel like this?  This week, it’s official.  I am on “summer” schedule based on how late I’ve been sleeping!  My girls (Macey & Mollie) love summer life.
I won’t lie, if Molls (beagle) is sleeping near me, I *might* try to sit as long as possible just so I don’t wake her up!  Sweet Molls also needs to lose about 5 lbs, so we have been doing a walk in the morning AND a walk at night.  If we are not walking, they are sleeping! Ha!

During my first few weeks of break and attempting to get transition into “summer life,” I was busy making new black and bright decor!  Here is a little preview of those just in case you haven’t seen them!

I am a big supporter of naps every.single.day in the summer!  Really.  It makes you so much more productive during the hours you are awake! Ha!

I’ve been busy prepping things for next year, yes…already!  If you haven’t checked out the new Chalkboard Bright Decor by Teacher Created, you need to!  I am in love!

My computer keeps ordering random things that I *need* and *love*!  Anyone else have this same problem happening this summer?!  {Rug from Target}

  1. I am usually in the same boat as you with getting into summer, but had zero problem sleeping in on the very first day off this year! It was glorious. Enjoy your summer and all of the wonderful surprises your computer orders for you. 🙂

  2. Love your new resources! Enjoy the rest of your Summer! Good luck with your dog losing weight, we are going through the same thing with our cat – getting there slowly! 🙂

  3. I had absolutely NO motivation to get any work done the first couple of weeks of my break. I was just getting into a routine and working on projects when I went on vacation. Now I have to try getting a routine again. Your blog is super cute. I am a new follower.

  4. I know exactly what you mean about getting into summer! This week we let out on tuesday and all week, I was bored out of my mind! lol. Next week I plan to tackle some of the teaching junk I brought home with me and starting thinking of ideas about next year…in between naps and tv of course!

  5. I know what you mean about the transition. A year and a half ago I transitioned to being a stay-at-home-mom and was BORED out of my mind! After teaching full time for 15 years it was quite the switch. We move back home to the states in less than 6 months and now I wonder how I am going to go back to working full time. 🙂 As much as we teach our kids to transition smoothly, why does it seem hard for us as teachers?? 🙂 LOVE your decor sets! I've seen several bloggers raving about the new chalkboard brights set. When I go back into the classroom I'm thinking I'll be using that set. Happy Summer!

    Joya 🙂
