Me on the Map!
All About Communities packet.
O.N.E
This book keeps it simple. No fluff. It gets to the point and sticks to it. A great, easy way for students to grasp the concepts. I like that. I love it. They need it. Win. Win. Every year I rush to get a little crafitivty created with this book for open house.
Last year, I decided to make a mobile. Why?
I have no idea because I despise having to put things on string.I want things even. I want them straight.This doesn’t always happen with 2nd graders {really still first graders}. I ended up doing most of the work.
What? Why?
My favorite quote is, “Never work harder than your students.” I have no idea who said it, but I’ve always remembered it. It’s time to get back to those ways. It’s time to let some things go.
{At least I’ll try…I’ve been trying for 6 years}
Anyone else with me?
I’m hoping this packet will help me. And maybe you! Like the book, I kept the unit short & sweet. It gets the job done without a ton of prep. You can check out this unit here.
Love this! Thanks a bunch for sharing.
Love, love, love!!
I agree that it is crazy how many kids don't know where they live or think our city is a state or country. I was already planning on using Me On the Map during our first unit, and your product will be a great resource to use.

I just love this!! I teach 3rd grade and I still have students that don't know where they live! YIKES!!! I can't wait to do this activity with my students! I especially love the interactive notebook pages! Fabulous!!
