The end of pumpkin week!

A little recap on the rest of our pumpkin week.
Kiddos worked hard on centers from this packet:
I always had a hard time figured out how to fit in all of these cute centers!
I now have scrapbook containers of centers.
They get to chose a container a day for “free choice” during guided reading.
I’ve stapled all of the worksheets together so they have EVERYTHING they need.
If they didn’t finish a center from the day before, they go back to it the next day.
It is working out amazing!  It is also neat to see who partners up with who.
And to see some peer to peer teaching going on.
On Wednesday, which was our last day together due to conferences.
We had a jam packed day of pumpkin fun + birthday fun.
I know, I know, I thought I was a little insane also.
But these kiddos really held it together.
Since we were already working on adjectives,
I just *had* to use Kelley’s Adjective Pumpkin Unit!
I probably have never laughed so hard when the 5 boys in my classroom got
 adjectives like “fancy and pretty!”
This fancy pumpkin is a spy in a tux!
We watched videos on the life cycle of a pumpkin
 and then created my craftivity.
I semi-cheated this year and found a kit of paper pumpkin plates.
I knew with conferences we wouldn’t have time to paint or use markers.
The kit contained the orange plates and the stick on leaves, stem, and face.
I meant for the life cycle to be going out the side of the pumpkin,
but I REALLY love how my sweetie Savanah did hers up and down!
We decided we HAD to have seeds, so I threw their names on there:)
My visual plans will be up tomorrow!
I was going to add them to this post,
but I decided it is just too long!
I know I never make it through really long blog posts!
Don’t forget, my store is still on sale with many of my friends until tonight!
I also posted this Awesome Autumn Activities today.
It is on sale, also:)
