You know you are a teacher on a tropical vacation when…..

You know you are teacher on a tropical vacation when….

1.  You want to stand up in the plane and tell everyone to stay seated until the rows in front of you have their items and are leaving the plane!
2.  When you see a child running on the resort, it takes all the power in you not to say loudly, “NO RUNNING!”
3.  You about have a panic attack at the buffet style meals due to people going every which way.  You really want to direct people to stay in line and move slowly, but briskly.
4.  You break down to purchase the internet for one day {no free internet, are you joking me!?!} just to be able to check into TPT, TN and to have some form of communication with the world!….sadly, you couldn’t get your google reader to work on your kindle fire!
5.  Your souvenir shopping includes making sure to find an item or items to bring back to your classroom! My classroom will now be using cute turtle maraccas for a new classroom signal!  Also, picked up a few books in Spanish:).
6.  You constantly are quoting kiddos on your vacation. {It helped that the cousenlor was on the trip with me!  So Ash & Jord had to listen!:)}
7.  All of the downtime in the airport makes you cringe to think about how many new units could have been created if you had dragged your MAC and external hard drive along.
8.  Airport walking!! Enough said!!  You really wished you could make a big line down the middle of the international airport in Atlanta and to teach all travelers to walk on the correct side of the line.  You also may have said, “Why aren’t these people walking on the correct side of the hallway?!”
9.  One certain taveler in the group of 5 constantly had to use the restroom the minute we got somewhere.  Hello!!! Restroom breaks are before we leave!
10.  All through your trip you are making notes of things to post about.  You even jot down this little list on the plane!  The first thing you do after a shower and change of clothes is log into blogger at 1:30 a.m.! After over 12 hours of traveling you just have to read at least ONE blog:)
{And you received a text from Gladys over at Teaching in High Heels as you are heading to the aiport letting you know that one of your TPT units was being posted as a featured item.
You may have made a, “AHHHH!!!” sound outloud as your sister stares at you like you are insane:)}
 A picture of my brother on the beach the first day we go there.
It was almost 5:30ish, and the beach was cleared up for the day.
And cold!
Feels so great to be back home!
I am choosing to make this post verses unpack and start laundry!
I’m not really too sure what pictures we ended up with,
since I wasn’t in control of the camera for once.
I think we really slacked on good group photos, but oh well!
And I MUST drive the half an hour very soon to go get my girls!
I missing them terribly.
They have chosen to rebel against having to be chained up to use the restroom
at my parents house.
Rebel as in go the bathroom in the house!
Pretty sure the grandparents won’t be watching them any time soon!
P.S.- Teri, you were not joking about the food!
I ate the same little things everyday.
And eventually started ordering chicken strips from room service!
I’m not even a picky eater, but man!
